Girls Nights

I have some of the best girl friends a girl could ever ask for! Each of my friends are so unique and we are all so different but so much the same.  When we get together there's always many hours of laughing and reminiscing.  I can't wait to live in Fresno again and spend more quality time with each of these girls.  As I get older I realize I can't choose who my family is, but I can choose my friends and they have become some of the best family I could ever ask for! :)

I also got to have breakfast with my wonderful roommates from the year before Maury and I got married.  Living with these girls was the BEST thing for me while Maury was in Iraq.  These girls promised Maury they would take care of me while he was away and they went above and beyond that.  I am so blessed by each of them and couldn't have made it through the year without their support. I love each of you so much and will always remember our year together!

Beach Day

While I was home my mom and I planned a day trip to Pismo to see my grandparents who were vacationing there.  The afternoon before I decided we should surprise my grandparents and have my Aunt Stacey and cousin Nicole come with us! We are the four girls in the family so it turned out to be a great girls day with grandma and I think my grandpa loved having all of his girls in one place and all to himself! We talked, ate lots of food, shopped, walked on the beach, took lots of pictures and ate some more ;) By the time we had to get on the road to come home, Nicole had convinced her mom and my grandparents to let her stay the rest of their vacation! It was the perfect day and a great escape from the Fresno heat! :)

Vacation

Fresno, I do not miss the 108 degree weather, but I do miss my family and friends! Being home was so much fun and was jam packed with girls nights, family dinners, workouts, family BBQ's and even a bridal shower.  I loved spending quality time with my parents, family and girlfriends but really did miss Maury the whole time.  Going home without him is bitter sweet, because obviously I wish he could be there with me. Which is why, one week from today, we, The Turner's are jumping in the car and making the 14 hour drive home for a fun filled weekend!! :) Maury hasn't been home since February (I think) and I've been home many times since then, so this time we will go home together! WoOOoHooOO! :) Here are some of my favorite pictures from being home.
