It has been way to long!

I can't believe I have completely neglected my blog! I doubt anyone even reads it, which is fine, but I do want to at least keep it up most of the time so we have sometimes to look back on.  I recently looked through all of my posts from when we were in Washington and it brought back such good memories!

When we moved back to Fresno, we moved into my parents house before we got our own apartment. It was so nice to have such a smooth transition and to slowly look for an apartment and not be rushed. Once we moved in, I was able to decorate and do some painting.  Here are some before and after pictures of our apartment now! (These are all from my phone, so they might not be the best!)

Lots of Updating

I have totally been slacking on updating our blog, but thats because MANY things have been going on since the last time I updated.  (Also, I'm still trying to decide if I will keep this up now that we are home) Because SO much has happened in the past month, this update will be everything in one!

Let's start with Maury signing out of the military for good.  This was a very special day for us and I don't think either of us will ever forget it!

Both of us with the last official piece of military paperwork that needed to be signed so we could come home!

There was also a going away dinner for Maury with the guys he's worked with for the past three years.

We also celebrated our first year of marriage! I can't believe it's already been a year!! We did a little christmas shopping, drove down christmas tree lane and had an amazing dinner at Flemings.

Our wedding cake after one year! It still tasted good!

Maury's birthday is on Christmas Day, so this year we decided to celebrate a few days early with dinner and desert at my parents house!

Maury has lots of new books to read after his birthday and Christmas

Happy 25th Birthday my love! I hope it was a great golden birthday!

We have been having such a great time being home. We are adjusting to being here for good and not having to go back, but it is a good feeling.  We have loved getting to spend so much time with my parents and my aunt and uncle.

Last Weekend in Seattle

This last Saturday, Maury and I went into Seattle and Bellevue for our last time before our move home.  It was bitter sweet for both of us because we really do love both cities.  We spent the day shopping and walking around some of our favorite stores.  We had fun reminiscing about each person that came to visit us this year and where we took them and things we did.  It's weird to think this year has already passed and we won't be able to just jump in the car and drive into Seattle next week.  We are both sure we will come back someday to visit but that could be years from now.  It's such a beautiful place and I think many times we took for granted where we have lived.

It was the perfect day! I know I speak for both of us when I say, we couldn't be more grateful for this beautiful place we lived our first year of marriage!

Until next time,

Brie :)

Thanksgiving

I am a little bit behind on updating our blog but things have been pretty busy around here lately.  So going back a couple of weeks, Maury and I got to drive home for Thanksgiving.  It was really great to be home with all of our family and friends, but a little bit of a tease for us having to say "We will be back in two weeks!"  We just wanted to stay there! Of course I didn't take many pictures because I was so busy catching up and eating amazing food, but here they are :)
