Six Month Anniversary

I can't believe Maury and I have been married for 6 months already, time is flying by.  This past 6 months has been so wonderful, I couldn't have asked for a better husband.  He does such a great job of making the time go by fast in Washington and is so patient with me when he comes home from a long day of work and I just talk his ear off.  Maury is so energetic and there is never a dull moment when he is around, I am so grateful for all of the laughs.  We both are so excited for the next 6 months because they are Maury's final months of the military and at the end of these 6 months we get to move home and be with our family and friends daily!

To celebrate these past 6 months we got in the car and drove to a place called George, Washington to see The Band Perry, Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw!  Maury is such a good sport for going to a country concert, but he really did enjoy himself and I caught him singing along quite a few times ;)  The Gorge is an incredible venue.  It is out door in the middle of no where, along the Columbia River.  I don't think there is a bad seat in this place.  You can get a reserved seat very close to the stage or pay a little less and bring your blankets and chairs and sit on a huge grass hill.  The Gorge hold 20,000 people and there are only seats for 5,000.  We had seats that were so close and it was such a great concert!

This state is so beautiful

Luke Bryan was so great, I think he stole the whole show!

The people just kept going on forever

We had such a great time and talked about the concert the whole way home. Thanks for the best six months of my life and such a fun night celebrating Maury!

Until next time,

The Sun Came Out In Washington

I think it is safe to say it is finally summer in Washington!  The sun is out everyday and its between 60-75 degrees. Maury had a long weekend so we decided to spend most of the afternoon outside on Friday. We both actually got a sun burn and we were sweating.  This is a big deal is Washington people, I know it's hot in Fresno but it's perfect weather here, so come visit :)

So we look a blanket, lunch, cards and our books to a near by outdoor rec center and enjoyed the sun!

On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier from everywhere in this state

Maury's inner child came out and he had to do everything at the park

We loved just laying in the sun

We also went out to dinner at Tugboat Annie's again.  This place hasn't failed us yet so we will keep going back! You can't beat the view.

We sat on the patio this time and loved it!

Happy Hour!

At dinner Maury surprised me with a 6 month wedding anniversary gift, Tim McGraw tickets! I had mentioned a few weeks ago that I would love to see him in Portland but then forgot he was coming.  Maury is such a great listener and found tickets for us.  The Portland concert was sold out so we went the next one, which was our actual anniversary date, at The Gorge in George Washington. I am so glad Portland was sold out because this place was amazing!

Until next time,

Brie :)

Mama Bat In Town

It's been awhile since I have updated the blog.  I had every intention of taking a lot of pictures while my mom was here visiting for 5 days but with all of the shopping we did it totally slipped my mind.  Let's just say, I think we shopped at every Nordstroms from Olympia to Seattle :) It was so great to spend time with my mom, shop, eat and watch reality tv.  The last day she was here we decided to do the Seattle Duck Tour.  I was very much against this from the moment the idea was said. I don't trust something that can drive on the street and then float in the water.  That just doesn't seem safe to me! My mom and Maury had a few good laughs at my fear, but at the end was I very glad they convinced me to do it!  The views of the city from the water are breathtaking.  After the tour, we went to another Nordstroms, had dinner and drinks and BJ's and then dropped my mom off at the airport.  I hate saying bye, but it wasn't too hard because I knew I was going home in 2 weeks! Woohoo!!

I can't wait to go to Fresno in 2 weeks, I just wish Maury could go with me.  He has to stay behind for some work training exercises that are going on, but I know he wishes he could come too! I will be sure to take A LOT of pictures while I am home visiting everyone :)

Until next time,

Brie :)
