Exploring Washington

It's been a few weeks since Maury and I have done an adventure day, but this weekend we fixed that by trying a couple new things!  On Thursday night we tried a restaurant called Tugboat Annie's in Olympia.  I found it on the internet and thought it would be fun because it was on the Puget Sound.  We both decided if we had found it on our own, I would have said "We are not eating here!" Because it is in the middle of no where, with not many things but abandoned cars and boats.  I was very, very wrong.  The food was wonderful, their happy hour was great and the view was amazing!

This is the restaurant (not my picture)

It was raining when we left, but their patio will be great this summer!

Then on Friday, Maury had the day off so we decided to give the Olympia Farmers Market a shot and we loved it!! Great food, music, and atmosphere.  I was happy to find fresh veggies closer than Pikes Place in Seattle!

The view from the Farmers Market

Beautiful weather

Soaking up the sun any chance we get!

After Farmers Market we went to Tumwater Falls.  This is a beautiful trail along waterfalls and it was so peaceful.  We walked along the water and just talked.  It was so quiet and pretty! We talked about going back for a picnic this summer and taking visitors there too! :)

They are man made for power but still pretty

Many exciting things are coming up that we are both excited for. We bought baseball tickets to see the Yankees play the Mariners next Friday. Then my mom is coming to Washington for some much needed retail therapy!! Also, it's almost summer in Washington with means no rain and 70 degree sunny beautiful days! Come visit and explore with us while the weather is good!! :)

Until next time,

Brie :)
